Emerson Academy will be holding two volunteer orientations for people interested in helping us care for our animals. If you are interested in volunteering, please try to make one of these training opportunities:

Non-Profit!

Emerson Academy is now officially a non-profit organization! As a program of The Emerson Foundation, Emerson Academy has been granted 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, which means that all donations made to the center or foundation are tax deductible (excluding tuition). If you'd like to make a donation to our scholarship fund to assist families in financial need, we'll be happy to furnish a reciept.

Our new status will allow us to better serve our students and families in the future through additional services, as well as provide opportunities for children to attend Emerson who would have otherwise been unable to do so. Thank you for your support as we strive to make Emerson Academy the best it can be for as many as possible.

Keeping Emerson Healthy

As the winter season trudges on, Emerson, like the rest of central Texas, has been affected by several illnesses. We encourage parents to be aware of viruses and diseases that are going around so that we may help prevent further illness. Any illnesses are always noted on the front bulletin board.

Currently, we have two significant bugs going around: RSV and Fifth Disease. Please read up on these, know the early signs, and keep your child home if (S)he is having symptoms. With your help, we can continue to keep Emerson a healthy, happy place!

Parent-Teacher Conferences...

begin this week! If you have not yet signed up, you may do so outside your child's classroom. If you have any questions, ask your child's teacher.
